About OLINCA

Safeguarding - protecting our students

At Olinca, we are committed to supporting and protecting the wellbeing of our students. We refer to this as safeguarding.

What is safeguarding?

It is the commitment of the educational community to safeguard and protect the wellbeing, physical and mental health, and safety of our students.

Safeguarding Culture refers to the commitment that exists in the educational community to safeguard and protect the wellbeing, physical and mental health, and safety of our students, promoting an environment of fluid, supportive, and protective communication, focused on the constant care and support of students and school staff.

To achieve this, a series of policies, procedures, and training focused on the following areas are used as the main tools:

  • Child and youth protection (including identification of types and signs of abuse)
  • Assistance and promotion of a climate of good treatment
  • Comprehensive protocol for educational outings
  • Safe recruitment
  • Risk behaviors
  • Safe use of Internet/technology
  • Facility security

All the work carried out in this area is intended to be a form of continuous support for the students and their families.

In each of these activities, a series of policies and procedures focused on child and youth protection are being implemented. In addition, all employees and managers of the school network are constantly trained in order to provide them with tools and knowledge that enable them to identify the different signs of abuse and neglect and to intervene quickly in cases that require it.
